Run'In Varades is a road-running series in Varades, Loire-Atlantique, near Ancenis. It features a half marathon as its main event, with shorter races surrounding it. The schedule includes the 21.097 km half marathon, a team half marathon, 10 km, 5 km, and children's races. The Varades athletics club organizes all events, which take place in late September. Three of the races serve as qualifiers for the French Championships.
The event accommodates both local participants and competitive runners aiming for fast times. The half marathon offers 900 places, with a minimum of 300 reserved for FFA-licensed athletes. The 10 km has 600 places, at least 250 for FFA runners, and the 5 km provides 300 places, with at least 150 for FFA runners. Organizers anticipate swift racing at the front, setting targets of 1:05:30 for men and 1:15:00 for women in the half marathon, and a sub-29-minute goal for the 10 km. The 10 km field is expected to feature Simon Bédard, a French team selection athlete holding personal bests of 13:15 for 5000 m and 27:49 for 10,000 m. Existing course records provide benchmarks for participants: 1:08:23 and 1:15:35 for the half marathon, 30:05 and 34:58 for the 10 km, and 14:46 and 17:20 for the 5 km.
