Pascagoula River Paddle Battle 2026

The Pascagoula River Paddle Battle covers 11.5 miles on the Pascagoula River, beginning at Little River Marina in Moss Point and concluding at the LaPointe-Krebs House in Pascagoula. This race utilizes one of the Mississippi Gulf Coast’s designated water trails. The river is also known as the Singing River. Paddlers in any human-powered vessel are welcome, allowing kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, and similar boats to compete on the same day. The course traces the largest free-flowing river system in the contiguous United States, lending the event a river journey character rather than a closed-course sprint. Participants leave their craft at the start, park at the finish, and take shuttles back to Little River Marina for the launch. The series also features the Fins Up Sprint, a 2-mile race with starts and finishes at LaPointe Krebs Launch. This shorter event acknowledges Jimmy Buffett, a Pascagoula native.
