Entre Bassin et Forêt : Course nature et marche sportive 2026

Entre Bassin et Forêt is a nature running and sports-walking event held in Andernos-les-Bains, located on the Arcachon Bay side of Gironde. The primary race is 16 km, which participants can complete solo or as a two-person relay divided into 5 km and 11 km segments. For those preferring to walk, an untimed 8 km option is available. This event marks its sixth edition, and the 16 km race is officially recognized on the French Athletics Federation calendar. The course is described locally as a "postcard" route, winding between the bay and the forest, emphasizing off-road running over urban racing. The participants represent a broad spectrum: Juniors through Masters compete in the solo race, while younger age groups participate in the relay based on their assigned leg. Walkers must be at least 14 years old, and there are also free children's races with distances tailored for Benjamins, Poussins, and Eveil Athlétisme categories. A portion of the proceeds benefits the Athlétisme Nord Bassin athletics school, and one euro from each bib purchase is donated to the volunteer sea-rescue service, SNSM at Arès Nord Bassin.
