Ultra Trail du Grand Colombier - 45 km 2026

Le Maratrail du Grand Colombier is a 44.88 km trail race in France's Bugey region. It centers on a long ascent to the Grand Colombier's summit. Organized by Mac Sport, the event is part of the Forêt Montagne Trail & terroir series. Runners face approximately 2,000 meters of elevation gain on a mountain course, distinct from a road marathon. The course itself is the main draw. It crosses Bugey's landscape before reaching the Grand Colombier summit, featuring about 1,975 meters of elevation gain and a total elevation change of 2,512 meters. The race is designed for both seasoned trail runners and dedicated amateurs, presenting a challenging yet accessible mountain event, not exclusively for elite athletes.
