Autumn Leaf Run

The Autumn Leaf Run is a 5K trail race at Oakdale Nature Preserve in Freeport, Illinois. It is open to runners of all skill levels, walkers, kids, adults, and anyone who wants a short race inside the preserve rather than on city streets. The race uses chip timing, suitable for those chasing a clear 5K result as well as those moving at an easy pace. The course loops through wide tree-lined trails, prairie sections, moderate hills, bridge crossings, and several stretches of single-track trail. The start and finish are located close together, simplifying race-day logistics for participants and spectators. All proceeds go to the Freeport Parks Foundation, supporting future projects at Oakdale Nature Preserve Park.
