Fall Kuwohi offers runners and hikers 12 hours to complete a 15-mile vertical course with 7,140 feet of climbing and descending at Mohawk Mountain Ski Area in Cornwall, Connecticut. It takes place in the fall from noon to midnight Eastern time. Participants can run, hike, or walk, and can enter solo or as part of a team.
The race is the entry-level event in IronHike’s Kuwohi series, intended for individuals attempting a significant elevation challenge for the first time, as well as experienced athletes seeking a lengthy mountain effort without a strict running demand. The same venue hosts the Spring Double Kuwohi, a larger 24-hour event covering over 28 miles and 13,685 feet of elevation gain. Thus, the fall race serves as an introductory option to the series. IronHike Endurance Productions, a U.S. military veteran-owned business, organizes the event.
