Cims de Girona, a night trail running series near Girona, focuses solely on the climb. It is built around three uphill efforts: Sant Miquel, Els Àngels, and Rocacorba. Runners compete after dark, but the clock records only the ascent. This format resembles a series of mountain time trials more than a typical trail race. The series is in its thirteenth edition.
The Sant Miquel and Els Àngels start approximately 400 meters from Restaurant el Cul del Món. Rocacorba begins at a rock on the Camí d’Adri, about three kilometers from the Canet d’Adri sports hall. Water, nuts, and sweets are provided at each finish line. The last timed climb leads to the Santuari dels Àngels, where participants receive the final snack, awards, and participate in a prize raffle.
