35th Annual Reindeer Run/Walk

The Reindeer Run/Walk is an annual 5K run and walk in downtown Charleston, South Carolina, with a holiday theme. It accommodates both runners and walkers, families, and pets, featuring participants of all kinds, from serious racers to families with children and dogs. After more than thirty years, the event now attracts over 3,500 participants, a significant increase from its initial few hundred. The race supports MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital in downtown Charleston, funding its expanded neonatal intensive care unit, a dedicated floor for pediatric cancer patients, and South Carolina’s most complete pediatric heart center. The costume contest, a key element of the event's character, includes separate categories for adults, children, groups, and dogs, offering prizes and gift cards from local Charleston businesses.
