Über dieses Rennen
The Double Bridge Run takes participants from Pensacola across two major bodies of water, Pensacola Bay and Santa Rosa Sound, toward the beach. The primary event is a 15K race beginning at Maritime Park in downtown Pensacola, near the Blue Wahoos stadium, and concluding at the Pensacola Beach Boardwalk. A 5K race, open to runners and walkers, starts in Gulf Breeze and proceeds to Pensacola Beach on Santa Rosa Island. The event has a limit of 4,000 participants and attracts individuals from all over the United States.
The 15K route offers a brief exploration of Pensacola before reaching the bridges. It travels through the historic district, along Bayfront Parkway, over the Three-Mile Bridge, and continues through Gulf Breeze before its conclusion by the sand. The 5K covers the last section on the beach side, running from Gulf Breeze through a portion of the Gulf Islands National Seashore. Following the races, participants convene at Pensacola Beach for awards, music, food, and beverages, creating a finish line atmosphere akin to a beach gathering rather than a typical parking lot departure.
