Wittener Weihnachtslauf 2026

The Wittener Weihnachtslauf is a Christmas running event held in Witten, Germany, with its race site located directly on the Christmas market in the city center. PV Triathlon TG Witten e.V. is the organizer, and this marks the event's 30th edition. It includes short races for children, a 5 km run, relay options, and a 10 km race, catering to Bambini runners, school-age children, adults, company teams, and mixed groups. The start and finish lines are on Bahnhof-/Heilenstraße, in front of the former Galeria Kaufhof. Runners proceed along Bahnhofstraße, with the longer race involving six laps through central Witten. The event embraces the season; one group from LT Wischlingen Dortmund even ran in nativity-scene costumes. All children receive a medal, the 10 km race has an 80-minute time limit, and the overall atmosphere resembles a runner's Christmas party more than a typical road race.
