Trail Catllaràs is a mountain trail series held in La Pobla de Lillet, Province of Barcelona, with races crossing the protected Serra del Catllaràs natural area. It typically takes place in late July and features multiple distances: short, middle, and marathon-style options around 15 km, 21 km, and 40 km. Older records also indicate 20 km and 50 km formats. The longest race is approximately marathon distance, involving about 2,560 metres of elevation gain, positioning it as a true mountain challenge rather than a simple road-style trail run.
The course winds through pre-Pyrenean forest, local flora, and some gentler paths, but also incorporates technical terrain with exposed sections and scrambling opportunities unsuitable for those with vertigo. Cutoff times can be stringent, and recent participant numbers have been modest, around 70 to 80 runners, a contrast to earlier events under a different organizer that attracted approximately 400 participants per distance. Klassmark initiated the race and managed eight editions before reducing their direct involvement, though they continue to offer assistance. Some participants recall fondly older course segments through locations like Sobrepuny, the Catllaràs chalet, and historic iron mines, while aid stations have received positive feedback, and the event is recognized within the UTMB Index.
