Roc d'Azé

Roc d'Azé is a cycling event in Azé, a village in Saône-et-Loire in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. The programme includes both road rides and VTT mountain-bike routes, and the listed edition is the 13th running, set for early September rather than the middle of summer. The mountain-bike courses often use paths across private land, so access depends on permissions negotiated with landowners. Riders are asked not to reuse those private sections after the event, to mark any restricted parts if they share GPS tracks, to keep their speed under control near pedestrians or vehicles, and to carry their rubbish to the finish bins. The rules also tell riders to follow the Highway Code, local municipal orders, and the organisers' instructions, and not to stop in the middle of a path even for a mechanical problem or a photo.
