Hamilton Gardens Trail, Hamilton 2026

The start and finish are located within Hamilton Gardens in Hamilton East, adjacent to the Waikato River. The Hamilton Gardens Trail is a paved race held in Hamilton, New Zealand, each November. It offers 6km, 12.3km, and 16.5km distances suitable for adults, children, families, and participants under five years old. The course winds through the gardens before heading towards the Waikato River, following its undulating banks bordered by native bush. Although called a trail race, the path is entirely paved. The short course features 93m of elevation gain, the mid-course has 130m, and the long course includes 231m. This event caters to both novice runners seeking an accessible course and seasoned athletes aiming for a quick finish. Camp Quality serves as the official charity partner. Access to the venue is via Gate Two, and parking on Grey Street is advised due to weekend crowds at the gardens.
