Biebrzanski Bieg Losia 2026

Biebrzański Bieg Łosia is a June running event in Goniądz, located in Poland’s Biebrza marsh country. The start and finish are at Plac 11 Listopada. Runners can choose from 5 km, 10 km, or a half marathon, making the day suitable for younger runners, local amateurs, and those seeking a longer race. The routes are marked and certified, featuring sections on asphalt, dirt, and forest roads. A main stretch heads toward Osowiec, crossing the bridge over the Biebrza River. Race-day organization is local and practical, with the office on the same square as the start. The half-marathon has a time limit of 2 hours 45 minutes. The race name honors the moose, the largest mammal in the Biebrza marshes and an animal closely associated with this region of Podlaskie. This local nature theme is integral to the event, with Biebrza National Park, the Knyszyn Forest District, the Mayor of Goniądz, and the Polish Society for the Protection of Birds involved. The 5 km race and children’s races are held under the bird society’s patronage, aligning with the area’s wetlands, home to lapwings, curlews, redshanks, dunlins, and ruffs.
