Corrida Porto de Leixões

Runners begin their race next to the new cruise terminal at the Port of Leixões, concluding in the same port area close to Forte Nossa Senhora das Neves in Leça da Palmeira. The Corrida Porto de Leixões takes place in September in Matosinhos, featuring a 10 km road race and a 5 km non-competitive walk, both commencing at 09:00. The course crosses the operational Port of Leixões, offering an industrial and maritime backdrop distinct from typical city races. Thousands participate, including those competing in the 10 km event, walkers, families, and groups of friends. The event is organized by APDL, Eventsport, and the APDL culture and sport center, with support from local municipal authorities.
