Sesimbra Spartan Weekend 2026

Sesimbra Spartan Weekend is an obstacle race held at Praia da California in Sesimbra, Portugal. The race incorporates sand, trails, hills, mud, ropes, carries, climbs, and crawls. Adult participants can select from Sprint (5 km with 20 obstacles), Super (10 km with 25 obstacles), or Beast (21 km with 30 obstacles) distances. A Kids Race, covering 1-3 km, is available for children aged 4 to 12. Adult races are open to women aged 14 and older, and men aged 15 and older. The course utilizes the natural landscape surrounding this Atlantic fishing town, transitioning from fine-sand beaches to rugged hills and mountain terrain. An ancient castle stands as a notable landmark. Athletes aiming for the Spartan Trifecta can complete the Sprint, Super, and Beast races within the same weekend.
