The Bellingham Bay Marathon is a series of road races in Bellingham, Washington, taking place on the last Sunday of September. The event offers a full marathon, marathon relay, half marathon, 10K, and 5K. An early start is available for marathon walkers. The races accommodate both runners and walkers, ensuring that shorter-distance participants, relay teams, and those preferring a slower pace are included alongside the marathoners.
The course highlights Bellingham Bay, with vistas of the San Juan Islands and the North Cascades. Established in 2007 by the Bellingham Bay Swim Team, the event maintains its local focus. All net proceeds benefit youth nonprofits in Whatcom County, with additional support for the Whatcom Football Club Rangers and the swim team. Packet pickup occurs at the Bellingham Cruise Terminal. The race structure permits practical adjustments, such as changing distances or transferring an entry.
