MCRRC Run Under the Lights

MCRRC Run Under the Lights is a 5K run/walk held on a fall evening within Seneca Creek State Park in Gaithersburg, Maryland. It begins at 6:15 pm, utilizing the park's closed roads. This allows participants to move through the Winter Lights Festival without encountering regular traffic. The setting is the main attraction: Gaithersburg’s Winter Lights Festival illuminates the park with over 380 vignettes and 65 animated displays. The City of Gaithersburg and the Montgomery County Road Runners Club co-organize the race. The format welcomes both runners and walkers, not exclusively competitive racers.
