The Monarch Grind uses U. S. Forest Service gravel roads with approximately 7,900 feet of elevation gain. Proceeds benefit Pend O'reille Pedalers and KRFY - Panhandle Community Radio. This is the second annual event. Traction tires are recommended; road bikes are not. After a neutral start, riders set their own pace, but must meet the aid station cut-off. Finishers receive swag, a post-ride meal, and a raffle entry.
