The Austria Backyard Ultra in Thüringen, Vorarlberg begins at 9:00 a.m., with runners completing a 6.706 km loop each hour. The format follows the classic Backyard Ultra: complete the loop within the hour, return to the start line for the subsequent loop, and continue until unable to proceed. Late starts are not permitted; any runner missing an hourly departure is disqualified. The course adheres to the official rules of the American original.
