Jaidhofer Leopoldilauf 2026

The Jaidhofer Leopoldilauf is a running event held each November at Schloss Jaidhof in Lower Austria. It offers races for children, casual runners, competitive runners, and Nordic walkers. The event has taken place annually since 2019. The program includes 500- and 1,100-meter races for youth, a 3,000-meter hobby run, a 9,000-meter main race, and a 6,000-meter Nordic Walking event. The 3,000-meter loop involves a 56-meter elevation gain per lap. Consequently, the main race covers three laps, and the Nordic Walking route spans two. The event attracts local school groups and international participants, with fields exceeding 400 competitors even in cold, foggy conditions. All participants receive a wooden Leopoldilauf medal. Age-group trophies are awarded to the fastest male and female runners in the children's, youth, hobby, and main races. Nordic Walking also uses chip timing, with prizes for the fastest male and female participants and the largest team.
