schöcklHERO Mautstraßenlauf

The schöcklHERO Mautstraßenlauf guides participants up the Schöckl via a road no longer accessible to regular traffic. This event, established following the schöcklHERO triathlon, reintroduces road racing to the mountain after a nearly 40-year hiatus. The course utilizes the former toll road, closed to public use since the early 1990s. The initial kilometers are fairly level and fast, before the final 4 kilometers ascend toward the summit through wooded areas offering expansive mountain vistas. The finish line is situated at the Alpengasthof on the Schöckl, where the event concludes with a DJ, commentary, and an extended celebration.
