About this race
L'AmiJogg'Run is a road running and walking series organized by the Friends Joggers of Saint-Ghislain. It features one event in April at Sirault and a "Happy New Year" version in December at Colfontaine. The core offering includes two running distances, 6 km and 11 km, and a walking option of approximately 10 or 11 km, varying by edition. Participation is open to all ages, with on-site registration available if spots remain.
The event originated from a local jogging and walking club that quickly grew to over 250 members within two years. Its inaugural edition attracted 715 participants, comprising 635 runners and 80 walkers, with total participation exceeding 1,000 by the third year. The start and finish have been hosted at local sports facilities, such as Hautrage in the past and Sirault for the April race. The day's atmosphere is enhanced by music from a DJ at the start-finish area and another on the course, five entertainment points with music and percussion, musical elements during the prize ceremony and raffle, well-supplied aid stations, and a technical T-shirt for every participant.
