About this race
The nature marathon in Tessenderlo-Ham is unique. The runner crosses 4 diverse nature areas (Averbode - Rode heide - Gerhagen and Dassenaerde) and was given the name 'Klavertje Vier'. There is a ceremony with a cup for the three best marathon runners M/F, the three best relay teams, and for the marathon, a cup for the winner per age category per 5 years M/F (40-75). A regional product is provided for the 2nd and 3rd in each category. Be aware, it is a Nature Marathon, so no aid stations every 5 km. There are extensive aid stations at the end of each lap (in warm weather and extra after 7 km), meaning at 0, 13, 23, 33, and 42 km. The aid stations include sports drinks, cola, water, waffles, oranges, bananas, raisins, etc. There are showers (limited) and changing rooms. Parking is right next to the start and finish area. There is an opportunity for drinks for runners and supporters, and hot dogs are provided.
