Persenk Ultra 2026

Near Assénovgrad, above Plovdiv, the Persenk Ultra is a mountain trail race with UTMB Index character, not an easy stroll. This is a serious event set in nature, forest, and mountains, attracting a significant field; over 300 runners participated in the last edition of the longer starts and over 100 in the shortest. The trails feature demanding climbs that quickly sort out the group, leaving little room for self-deception. With options including 7490 m D+, 3792 m D+, 2740 m D+, and 1610 m D+, there is a distance for every taste, though participants should arrive prepared, especially for the longer variants with their substantial elevation gain. While there is company on the paths, the mountain remains the main interlocutor.
