Big Breton Backyard Ultra

The Big Breton Backyard Ultra takes place on Coxheath Mountain Trail in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Runners begin at 8 am, completing a 6.7 km loop each hour. The format is straightforward and demanding: complete the loop within the hour, rest if possible, and then restart on the hour until one participant remains. The course begins at the Access Road entrance, ascends the access road, crosses the Northern Loop, and concludes back at the start. Race kit pickup is available onsite from 7 am. Entry includes custom BBBYU merchandise, and participants are eligible for a draw prize. Now in its fourth edition, the event's last-runner-standing format defines its character, emphasizing pacing, patience, and persistence over pure speed.
