About this race
The Bausch+Stroebel Stadtlauf Ilshofen is a city run in Ilshofen, located in the Hohenlohe region of Baden-Wuerttemberg. It takes place annually on the last weekend of September, coinciding with the Ilshofen Autumn Festival. This timing allows non-runners to visit the pottery market during the same weekend. The event offers a program designed for families, including a 10 km main run, a 5 km run suitable for hobby runners, beginners, and walkers, a 5 km Nordic Walking event for adults, a 2 km race for pupils and young people, and a 1 km Bambini run for the youngest participants.
The course is GPS measured and features hills, with all competitions starting and finishing at the same location. Races for children and youth are held first in the afternoon, followed by the main run. Registration and bib pickup occur at the Roland-Wurmthaler-Halle, simplifying logistics for families with multiple participants. The event has been held over thirty times. The mayor of Ilshofen, Martin Blessing, has encouraged more athletes to participate and intends to run himself.
