The Hennefer Europalauf begins at Hennef's historic Old Town Hall, leading runners through the town and the Siegtal in early summer. This public road race accommodates various participants with distances ranging from 1000 m to the half marathon, suitable for children, beginners, walkers, Nordic walkers, 5 km and 10 km runners, and those targeting 21.1 km.
The short Schnupperlauf emphasizes participation, with every finishing child receiving a medal. An accessible 1000 m inclusion run is offered with Für Alle Hennef e.V. on a city route. Additional events include a 3.6 km family run, a 5 km Siegauenlauf, a 10 km Panorama run, a 7.5 km walking option, and the Brückenlauf half marathon. Established in 2004, the race has been organized by Hennefer Turnverein and the City of Hennef since 2014. All finishers receive medals, timing is based on actual run time, and the finish area provides refreshments and massage services.
