About this race
The Cloppenburger Citylauf is a city running event in Cloppenburg, Germany, held during the Cloppenburg City Festival. The city of Cloppenburg and the Lauftreff of SV Bethen organize it, supervised by the NLV district association in Cloppenburg. The program offers a full afternoon of short, accessible races: free 400-meter Bambini runs for girls and boys, 2,000-meter races for schoolchildren, a 4 x 1,000-meter relay, a 10-kilometer main race, and a 6-kilometer hobby run.
The relay contributes significantly to the event's local character, as companies, public offices, hobby runners, and other groups can form four-person teams. Entry fees are reasonable: the children’s 2,000-meter races cost 5 euros, the relay is 16 euros per team, and both adult individual races are 10 euros. Lidl, VR-Bank in Südoldenburg, SportBöckmann, Modehaus Schwarte, and CineCenter Cloppenburg support the race, integrating it into the town festival program with running as the central activity.
