About this race

BORA bike day HERFORD begins and ends at the BORA Flagship Store on Ahmser Strasse in Herford. Parking is available at the Inometa lot on Planckstrasse, and showers are located inside the store. This is a German RTF cycling event offering several distance options. These range from a 44 km route with 400 meters of elevation gain to a 210 km Radmarathon featuring 2,840 meters of climbing. The marathon has the earliest start time, is for participants aged 18 and older, requires pre-registration, and is navigated solely by GPS track. The shorter RTF routes are available in 44, 71, 83, 110, and 165 km lengths, with children and teenagers under 18 participating at no charge. Helmets are mandatory, and all riders must adhere to German road regulations. E-bike riders are welcome, provided their motor assistance does not exceed 25 km/h. The routes include check points in Kirchheide, Linderhofe, Amelgatzen, Koeterberg, and Barntrup. The long marathon route visits Koeterberg before returning via Barntrup, Linderhofe, and Kirchheide. Most routes longer than 44 km use GPS navigation instead of full signage, making this event suitable for those comfortable following a digital track. Food. The start and finish areas offer coffee, rolls, cake, ice cream, cold drinks, sausages, and fries. Check points provide typical RTF refreshments, with warm food available at the marathon stop on Koeterberg. In the afternoon, BORA staff will conduct tours of the Flagship Store, adding a unique dimension beyond a typical event setup.
