About this race
Etappe 4 of the Heidi-Challenge is a 68 km stage race that starts and finishes in Spandau, in western Berlin. It is part of the Tour Havel Nord, a Spandau-to-Spandau route around the northern Havel area, and the event sits in the third edition of the Heidi-Challenge. The race is not ranking-eligible, carries no IAU label, and has no time limit, which gives it a more low-pressure feel than a championship-style ultra.
The wider Heidi-Challenge format includes several long stages, with past stage distances around the low-to-high 60 km range and a full multi-stage total of 316 km over five stages. Finisher lists are small, often only a few dozen runners per stage, so this is more of a compact endurance challenge than a mass race. A marathon is also offered alongside the longer format, and Conibeta GmbH promotes the event.
