Herning City Gadeløbet 2026

Herning City Gadeløbet is an evening street cycling race in Herning, centered on a short, fast city-centre circuit rather than a long road stage. The main race begins after the warm-up and rider presentation, with cyclists already on the roads beforehand. The racing is scheduled to last about an hour, concluding with a hard finish in front of Herning Arrest and the library. The event commences earlier with BørneTour Herning, a closed-route race for children aged 3 to 15, alongside family activities before the senior riders begin. The start list has featured Michael Mørkøv and Lars Bak. One edition held significance as it was Bak's final race in Denmark while competing for Team Dimension Data. It is a local cycling event bringing together children, spectators, and well-known Danish professionals on the same city streets.
