Juleløbet Skamling - Et anderledes Juleeventyr 2026

Juleløbet Skamling is a Christmas trail race at Skamlingsbanken in Denmark, run since 2012. It takes place in hilly historic country, with the start and finish at Skamlinghallen. The event offers multiple distances: a 2 km family route, 6 km, 10 km, a half marathon named Julemanden, an ultra, a light 6 km orienteering option, and 5 km and 8 km walks. The atmosphere is festive, featuring Santa's Grocery Store, local exhibitors, and serving æbleskiver, mulled wine, and juice to participants in the school dining hall. The race is not a gentle holiday jog unless shorter or walking options are chosen. The trail routes incorporate Skamlingsbanken's climbs and descents, including mud, technical sections, forest paths, small trails, and muddy singletrack turns in rolling terrain.
