The Royal Copenhagen City Half 2027

The Royal Copenhagen City Half is an April half marathon in Copenhagen, designed for runners seeking a very fast city course. It begins in Nordhavn, concludes at the Royal Arena in Ørestad, and follows the certified 21.1 km distance on a route measured to World Athletics standards. The course offers less than 16 meters of elevation gain, over 93% asphalt, fewer turns, and long straightaways. The route is entirely closed to traffic, employs chip timing, and the finish is located approximately 10 minutes from the metro and airport. The route crosses the harbor district and passes several of Copenhagen’s well-known landmarks, such as Copenhagen International School in Nordhavn, Kastellet and Esplanaden, Amalienborg Palace, Kgs. Nytorv, Nyhavn, the Black Diamond, Lille Langebro Bridge, Royal Golf Club, Sydhavnen, and the Royal Arena finish. It is intended to be faster than the Copenhagen Half Marathon, attracting runners aiming for personal bests and those desiring a flat, managed race through the capital's waterfronts, palaces, broad avenues, and contemporary structures.
