Carrera Villa de Villaverde 2026

The Carrera Villa de Villaverde is a popular 8 km road race held in Villaverde del Río, a town in the province of Seville. Both the start and finish lines are located on Calle Cruz. School races take place earlier in the morning, followed by the adult race around midday. This is a small, local event, not a large city race. Entry is limited to 600 participants, and organizers anticipate approximately five hundred runners. The course follows the town’s main streets. An aid station is positioned partway through the route, with another available after the finish line. The post-finish area provides runners with water, an isotonic drink, and fruit. The City Council of Villaverde del Río is the organizing body. One recent edition of the race was postponed due to official mourning following a fatal house fire in the town.
