About this race
The Llagostera Mountain Race is a trail running event held in Llagostera, Girona. It features races and walks on forest paths, distinct from road races. One event is a night mountain race, organized by Trail Running group of G.E. Bell-Matí de Llagostera. It begins and ends at the La Canyera municipal pool. The course covers 8 km of trails through the Torre forest, with options for running or walking. Registration can be done online or on the day of the event.
The Llagostera mountain race program offers three choices through the Ridaura forests and the Ardenya massif: El Toixó, a 12 km walk; La Geneta, a 12 km race; and La Guilla, a 22 km race. The mountain course includes approximately 700 m of elevation gain and 700 m of descent. It is designed to feel local without being entirely flat or casual. The event maintains a traditional Catalan village race atmosphere, including a post-race breakfast, a buff or T-shirt, and a surprise at the halfway point. The night race also provides bravas potatoes, a drink, and access to the pool for a swim after the run.
