Día del Montañismo Riojano is a mountain-running and hiking event held in San Román de Cameros, a village in La Rioja, Spain. Participants can choose between a 9 km and a 19 km route, catering to those seeking a shorter mountain excursion or a longer challenge on local trails. The event is organized by Agrupación Deportiva TrotaRioja and the Federación Riojana de Montañismo. The event connects with La Rioja’s broader mountaineering community. A concurrent solidarity march in San Román de Cameros generated 5,000 euros for the Riojana Association of Rare Diseases, with the donation formally presented at the regional mountaineering gala. This gala also features the awarding of La Rioja Hiking League prizes, accolades for mountaineering values, and a diploma recognizing the official approval of the GR-190 and PR-93 routes.
