Eco Maratón de La Donaira 2026

At La Donaira, runners may encounter free-roaming Lusitano horses on trails between Montecorto and El Gastor in Cádiz. The Eco Maratón de La Donaira is a November trail event offering a 25 km run, a 15 km run, and a hiking option for those who wish to traverse the route without competing. The course navigates old olive groves, passes ancient oak trees, follows ridgelines with expansive views, and crosses areas where farm and wild animals might be present. The event emphasizes La Donaira’s environmental commitments: 10% of entry fees support local environmental projects, plastic consumption is minimized, and medals and trophies are crafted from recycled and natural materials.
