About this race
El Salt de Tramuntana starts in Selva's main square and heads toward Coll de sa Batalla, in Mallorca's Sierra de Tramuntana. This road cycling race uses a closed 21.4-kilometer circuit, beginning at 8:30 a.m. with no car traffic. Participants can complete two laps for 42.8 kilometers or four laps for 85.6 kilometers, accommodating both shorter-distance cyclists and those seeking a challenging mountain effort.
The route follows the road between Selva and the Coll de sa Batalla mountain pass, making the climb the primary challenge instead of a flat speed event. The second edition attracted approximately 140 cyclists. Entry covers a timing chip, a branded shirt, lockers, on-course food, and a post-race meal of paella or fideua with a drink and local pastries. Individual victors receive prizes and cups, while teams of five or more long-distance riders can contend for a team classification with cash prizes.
