Lucena will incorporate a new event into its sports calendar this September with the celebration of the first Carrera Nocturna del Turismo y el Comercio Ciudad de Lucena. The race will take place on September 26th with a 5-kilometer urban route through the historic center, accompanied by a commercial and tourist promotion program throughout the weekend. The race will start at 8:30 PM in Plaza Nueva, with a festive atmosphere featuring batucadas, music, and a DJ. The event aims to boost tourism and local commerce through sports, coinciding with World Tourism Day.
