Trail Ciudad de Valverde 2026

The Trail Ciudad de Valverde begins and ends in Plaza Ramón y Cajal, located centrally in Valverde del Camino, Huelva. This autumn mountain trail race honors local athlete Pedro Zarza Vázquez. The Club Marchadores de Valverde organizes the event with the town council, the Diputación de Huelva, and local volunteers. The primary 25 km race covers the Valverde municipal area, with a seven-hour completion limit. A 15 km short route, a 10 km hike, and a family option are also offered, ensuring participation for various skill levels. The course is overseen by mountain-race officials, with aid stations approximately every 5 km and one at the finish. Showers and restrooms are available at the Triana sports center post-race. Typically, 400 to 500 participants compete, and the event connects with provincial and Huelva mountain-running circuits. One euro from each entry supports an association aiding relatives of individuals with Alzheimer's and other dementias in the Valverde or Andévalo region, a charitable aspect integrated into the event's standard operations.
