Ultra-Trail Guara Somontano is an ultra-trail race series held in Alquézar, Huesca province, Spain, scheduled for an early-October weekend. The main events feature long mountain distances of 107 km, 50 km, and 30 km, intended for runners seeking a substantial challenge on trails over a short road-style race.
The event takes place within the Natural Park of the Canyons and Sierra de Guara. Its shorter Trail Alquézar Rosado, a 17 km race with 850 meters of elevation gain, follows the Vero River and includes the Las Pasarelas route, offering a glimpse of the terrain. This 17 km race is noted as suitable for beginner trail runners, yet it includes sufficient climbing for a genuine mountain experience. Participants include local and regional athletes as well as visitors. Marian Torío won the women’s 17 km while on a nearby vacation, and Álvaro Osanz won the men’s race after establishing an early lead around kilometer 3 and maintaining a consistent pace to the finish.
