City Trail du Campanin is an October urban trail race held in Menton, located on the French Riviera near the Italian border. The primary 11.5 km race includes approximately 300 m of elevation gain, positioning it between a road race and a short trail run. It is runnable, yet the uphill sections require careful pacing.
The course winds through Menton’s old-town alleys, along maintained local paths, and includes the Colombières ascent before concluding on the beach. Organized by Menton Marathon and the City of Menton, the event attracts both road and trail runners. The race boasts over forty editions, with its current City Trail format maintaining the original Campanin character while incorporating more urban and natural elements. Menton's Lemon Festival, established in 1934, contributes to the town's distinct local atmosphere, though the race takes place in autumn, outside the festival period.
