About this race
Courir pour le plaisir is a small Paris race series focused on park events, not a single city road race. The series includes a 10k with a 1.5km children's race, Trail Le Pouce at 13.5km with a 1,650m children's race, and La Course du Dodo at 6.5km with a 1.5km children's race. The name translates to "running for pleasure," and the structure supports this: adults have manageable distances, and children have their own shorter races.
Two races take place in Bois de Vincennes, a large park in eastern Paris, while La Course du Dodo is scheduled for Parc Montsouris in southern Paris. The organization, led by Benoit César, also provides running training, general physical preparation, personal coaching, and 5k or VMA test results, positioning the races within a local training club framework rather than a standalone event company. Cups have been permanently eliminated from the events, and registration is managed via PROTIMING or a form on courirpourleplaisir.fr. Trail Le Pouce has reached at least its 12th edition, and the series is open to male, female, and young runners of all abilities.
