Course d'Obstacles la Démente 2026

La Démente is a Halloween-themed obstacle race held in Super Besse, located in the Sancy massif of central France. Participants can compete individually or in teams, selecting from 3 km, 5 km, or 9 km distances. They will race against the clock, navigating a series of intentionally absurd obstacles. Costumes are integral to the event, lending it the atmosphere of a muddy mountain challenge with a Halloween party spirit, rather than a typical trail race. The course utilizes the terrain of the Super Besse resort, with obstacles that organizers state become progressively more challenging. Approximately 800 participants are anticipated for this edition, following the 500 runners who participated in the inaugural event, which was established to mark the Sancy Massif resort’s 60th anniversary. The race is well-suited for groups of friends, novice participants seeking a lighthearted challenge, and runners desiring a timed competition without the intensity of a traditional road or trail race.
