Cross de Libourne 2026

The Cross de Libourne is an affordable cross-country event held in Libourne, within the Gironde department of southwestern France. Races are structured around one, two, three, or four laps, with listed distances of 2.45 km, 3.7 km, 4.7 km, and 7.6 km. The entry fee is 5 EUR, offering a straightforward format: select the race matching your ability and complete laps on the shared local course. A.S. Libourne Athlétisme has organized this event, with AVC Libourne also noted as an organizer for a subsequent edition tied to the Gironde championship. Participants from various age groups, both women and men, can compete together. Younger athletes have their own "course aux bouchons," which attracted 68 children in the éveils athlétiques and poussins categories. The race has faced challenges, including a multi-year hiatus due to storms and the Covid pandemic. One past edition endured mud, rain, and strong winds, featuring approximately thirty participants in the Elite-Open-Access field, where Anthony Brégière secured victory from the second lap onwards.
