About this race
The Défi urbain de Segré guides runners through Segré-en-Anjou Bleu in Maine-et-Loire. It starts in autumn at 17:00 and offers two short trail options: a 6 km discovery race and a 12.5 km urban challenge. Both races cost 10 EUR. The climbs are significant for the distance, with 106 meters of elevation gain on the 6 km route and 173 meters on the longer course.
The event is organized by ES Segré Haut-Anjou Athlétisme and attracts a local audience, with many participants coming from Maine-et-Loire and surrounding regions. One autumn edition saw almost 300 participants across the two races, including 238 online entries and around fifty same-day registrations, while a later record showed 462 participants. The shift to an autumn date occurred after an edition impacted by excessive heat. Local runners from Segré have previously won both the short and long races.
