Gravel Larzac Expérience is a 100 km gravel cycling race starting in Millau, in southern Aveyron, just south of the Larzac plateau. The ride runs inside the Grands Causses Regional Natural Park, with a small field capped at 99 riders rather than a mass start.
The course uses terrain well-suited for gravel: gravel tracks, steep trails, and quiet remote roads across open, almost lunar-looking landscapes. Demand is part of the story: the first edition sold out in a month, and the next one filled its 99 places in just over 36 hours. The event is for riders who want a tough, close-knit day out in wild country more than a polished road-race atmosphere.
