About this race
La Bacchus Artannes takes place in Artannes-sur-Indre, a village in the Indre Valley near Tours, during a Halloween sports weekend. The Friday-night Corrida is a 7 km run starting at the Artannes-sur-Indre gymnasium, with a children’s start preceding the adult race later in the evening.
The Corrida embraces Halloween: participants are encouraged to dress as skeletons, pumpkins, monsters, or other themed characters, and those without a costume must wear orange. The weekend, organized by Iron Bacchus, also features mountain bike rides, walking routes of 14 km, 24 km, and 36 km, and a 14 km road race. This variety attracts runners, hikers, cyclists, families, and groups of friends, not exclusively road racers.
