About this race
La Foulée des Pompiers du Bouchardais is a nature-running event in Tavant, within the Bouchardais area of Indre-et-Loire, organized by local firefighters. Participants can select a 6 km race, beginning at 9:00 AM, or a 12 km race, starting at 9:30 AM. The event is designed for those seeking a manageable local race, whether aiming for a specific time, a personal challenge, or simply running for enjoyment.
Both routes combine trails and roads, offering more than a simple town run. The 12 km course crosses Tavant, Sazilly, and Brizay, while the 6 km course follows a similar trail-road mix in a shorter loop. Both licensed and non-licensed runners are eligible, with age limits from 15 to 95. The inaugural event attracted 212 finishers, many from Chinon, Richelieu, and the Bouchardais region, and local runner Harald Applincourt was the victor in both races.
